Eve and Grazia Magazine

Eve Magazine:

·         Eve magazine wasn’t a sustainable media product because of “an unsustainable level of loss”. Tough economic conditions hit the magazine despite changes made to the magazine, including a revamped logo and taller "runway" format.

·         “Eve is making an unsustainable level of loss that is exacerbated by the recent ABC decline, the continuing strength of its key competitors and uncertain conditions within the UK economy”, said the Haymarket Consumer Media managing director.

According to research that I did, I found that Eve Magazine's failure was down to the tough economic conditions in the UK.

Grazia Magazine – Contrast to Eve Magazine:

·         High end adverts (lots of adverts) that are bringing in more income for the magazine (Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Olay, Marc Jacobs). – High demand for advert to be published in Grazia Magazine.

·         Expensive clothing advertised. – It is for upper class women, who can afford high end brands.

·         Well known celebrities/royal family - stories.

·         Interesting real life stories. - Relevant to current events.

·         High end fashion tips.
